The Q’ero community is located between the Andes mountain range, safeguarding and maintaining its ancestral culture and traditions and living in close and harmonious union with nature.
It is a mysterious and energetic magical place between the mountains of the city of Cusco where man and nature are closely related in constant mutual help. Remembering their purpose as human beings in this universe. Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco -Paucartambo- Challmachimpana

To start the trip to the Q’eros sakimos community at 6 am bound for the province of Paucartambo, a trip of approximately 2 hours. You will have 30 minutes to photograph the colonial town, it is a time to make purchases, then you will continue the trip to a terrain that gradually ascends for 3 hours arriving at Chamallchimpana. Once in Q’eros you will enjoy your lunch by our local food specialist chef together with your personal support guide and with families from the community who make your visit special.
At night you will receive the presentation of the priest P’aco and the support staff and brief explanation of the ceremonies, if you have several, after dinner we perform a welcome ceremony, an ancestral ceremony for the Apus (spirit of the mountains) and Pachamama (Mother Earth) and so will spend the first night of the trip.

Day 2: Challmachimpana

After having spent your first night of rest, we wake up at 5:39 in the morning with hot water and coca tea to have our light and energetic breakfast to start the walk to the highest point of the trip, we will cross through the open Huamanlipa, you will be able to appreciate the exuberant turquoise lagoon and snow peak and appreciate the nature between the top of the mountain and then begin to go down to Qochamocco, a small town of the Q’eros community, a perfect place to enjoy a delicious lunch.
After lunch and a short siesta we will continue the descent towards the high jungle, a colorful route between the mountains and along with the river and small waterfalls and you will also feel the temperature change from the cold zone to the warm zone as the change of vegetation by the traditional way.
Thus we arrive at Hatun Q’ero, it is a very important town for the residents of the community, it serves for important meetings and the most important festival and a great sharing among the residents and also the ceremonies for the protective spirits. We will spend our second night in the middle of the 3 gigantic mountains that will take care of us, with a visit to the low jungle with a warm climate, a perfect place to share our experiences on an outdoor campfire, clear our minds in the middle of nature and share the Munay, love, peace and tranquility, simply hear our hearts with the hearts of nature, like the indigenous people of the place.

Day 3: Hatun Q’ero – Challmachimpana – Cusco

Our support staff will wake you up early bringing you a hot drink to help you start the day and then enjoy a delicious breakfast, we will visit the small archeological center that is near the town for a photograph and then ascend towards the high mountains, We will leave the warm weather and the vegetation of the jungle to go to Challmachimpana, the place where we will enjoy the last lunch prepared by our chef and we will also be able to share with the families of the Q’eros community and thus be able to appreciate their textile work. of the women and men of the community.

Then we will take a transport to the city of Cusco, a trip of approximately 5 hours and we will leave you at your hotel.

Briefing prior to departure: The night before your trip you will receive a visit from a guide and group at your hotel to have an orientation before your walk. At this time, we will provide you with the canvas bags that our horses will carry. Your bag cannot exceed 7 kilos and must include the sleeping bag and air mattress. Your suitcases will carry all the canvas bags and will only be available at your campsite every day (morning and afternoon)

Any item you need should be packed in your backpack.

Transport: You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and transported to Upis, the starting point of the trek, and once you complete the trek you will be taken directly back to your hotel in Cusco.
Professional Guide: Your guide will explain the culture and environment along the entire route. He will even lead your group in ancient ceremonies. He or she will keep you healthy and make sure you are safe and happy. With knowledge of Quechua, Spanish and English languages.

Porters. We include a personal porter who is responsible for carrying the duffel bag that contains your items. Your duffel bag will be provided to you at your briefing the night before and will be filled with things you will need for the evening and the following day.
Food: Our chefs are professionals specialized in national and international food. We respect all food restrictions so be sure to add any type of food on your reservation form and inform your guide at your briefing. Food is usually served family style. You will enjoy healthy food during your trip, the community eats natural food and you will have the opportunity to share with them.
Water. From your first lunch to your last breakfast, the chefs will provide you with all the water you need. This water is boiled, filtered and then cooled before being distributed. You must bring personal water bottles and or camel. We recommend bringing around 3 liters worth. You can refill your water at each meal.
Emergency horse: All the treks we offer include an additional horse that you can ride if you feel sick or are a little slow. First aid. All the guides are trained in first aid by a doctor that we have in Cusco, the tour guide will always have a first aid kit for basic medical situations and essential oxygen, if necessary we will use it quickly and comfortably.
Ceremony.
The Q’eros Community is a highly energetic place, a favorable place to receive the forces and energies of Mother Nature. Through different ancestral ceremonies, ceremonies of your choice are included.

Insurance: It is not mandatory but it is recommended for those who live at sea level, adapting to Cusco will take 2 to 3 days.
Headlights: It is recommended to bring a headlamp for your overnight camping. There will be no lights at the campsites and it is difficult to get to your dining tent or bathroom tent. Flashlights are acceptable.
Rentals.
Every hiker requires a sleeping bag for when camping, the sleeping bag and poles are optional but recommended.
If you don’t want to bring any, they are all available for rent.
Tips: Tips are always acceptable and should be based entirely on your satisfaction, even if it is not customary for you, it is of great importance to the caregivers.
